Haven Life

Problem:  Life insurance is hard to understand and even harder to buy. The products are confusing, the approval process has insane business rules, and buying it involves having someone come and take a blood and urine sample. (Ewww!)

Goal: Haven was created to make it possible to buy life insurance entirely online in under 15 minutes.

Contribution: I worked directly with the CEO to define and design the first live version of the product. (Quote Experience, Educational Calculators, Application Process, Approval Process, Account Management, etc..) The design has since changed quite a bit, but all of the page content and flows I designed remain the same.

Results: MassMutual purchased the company and decided to migrate all of their life insurance products onto our platform. They also made the Haven CEO director of emerging technology across all of MassMutual, and asked me to expand the product into a tool their Agents could use to sell policies directly to their own customers.
